Terms & Conditions

Making a Purchase

Making a purchase on our store could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and  you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment, Paypal and Amazon payments.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

 

Shipping + Handling

All items are free delivery in the UK mainland. Shipping to Northern Ireland and the rest of Ireland will be calculated in the checkout. Unfortunately we are unable to offer international shipping on our mirrors due to fragility.

Delivery Schedule

We do keep stock of all of our mirrors however the large keira mariah  mirror is shipped with a courier that specialise in the handling of fragile and heavy goods. With this being the largest mirror we sell delivery can take between 3-7 days. All of our other mirrors are sent with DPD on a next day delivery if ordered before 2pm.

Arrange Delivery

Once the item(s) are ready Hollywood Mirrors or its carriers shall contact you by telephone or post to arrange a date and time for delivery.

Delivery

Delivery will be undertaken by either Hollywood Mirrors staff themselves or one of its carrier companies. You will then be required to sign for the delivery and condition of the item(s). Any damages must be reported to Hollywood Mirrors within 24 hours of signing or receiving the product. It is important that once the goods have been delivered that you open the package and thoroughly check that the item is in perfect condition. We always advise customers to keep their mirror packaging as well as if you need to make a warranty claim or require to return your item you will not be able to without the original packaging.

 

Backorders

If your item is not in stock, it will go on back order. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Cancellation

Customers needing to cancel an order should do so via email sales@hollywoodmirrors.co.uk

Orders cancelled prior to dispatch will be refunded in full*. Orders cancelled after dispatch will need to be returned to Hollywood Mirrors in 'as new' condition at the customers expense". The value of the order, excluding the initial shipping cost, will be refunded to the card from which payment was originally made.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Please ensure that all your packaging from the original delivery is kept as you will need this to be able to return your item or if a warranty claim is made you will need the packaging to return the item. Unspoiled goods may be refunded if returned (at customers expense) within 60 days of receiving the order along with proof of purchase. Soiled goods will not be considered for refund. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please ensure that all goods are thoroughly checked before a signature is given. Please notify Hollywood Mirrors of any goods that have been damaged in transit, within 24 hours of receipt by email at sales@hollywoodmirrors.co.uk with photos of the damage and the packaging or no exchange will be considered. Please dispatch goods by traceable post, including proof of purchase and reason for exchange or refund. Hollywood Mirrors will not be responsible for returned goods that are lost or damaged in transit.

Please note, goods will only be considered for exchange or refund if they are clean and dry and in 'as new' condition with original packaging,

On receipt of your returned items, we will make a refund to the value of the goods. We do not normally refund the cost of your return postage unless the goods were supplied to you faulty or incorrectly due to an error on our part.

We can only make refunds to the original payment card charged. We aim to action all refunds within 2 working days from receipt of the returned good. Please note that this returns guarantee does not affect your statutory rights for returned goods under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Paying with Klarna



Warranty

All our LED mains powered Mirrors with non replaceable bulbs come with a one year parts only warranty from the date of invoice. Your invoice should be retained as this is your proof of purchase and warranty commencement date.

The above warranty is given for the benefit of the original purchasing Customer only and is not transferable or assignable by the Customer to any third party.

The above warranty shall not apply in respect of:

      • any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage; negligence; failure to follow the Company's instructions (whether oral or in writing); alteration or modification of the goods; premature failure caused by poor cleaning and/or maintenance; damage caused during return transit to the Company; incorrect repair of the Goods.
      • of electrical or electronic components: damage caused by exposure to high voltages; static damage; damage caused by mishandling components; repairs made by an unqualified person.
      • goods which have been continued to be used by the Customer after any failure or defects of the Goods first became apparent
      • any failure or defect of the Goods which was apparent upon receipt of by the Customer which has not been notified to the Company in accordance with Section (20)
      • Mirrors with replaceable bulbs are covered for 2 years on electrics from the date of delivery of your Mirror. Mirrors with non replaceable bulbs are covered for 1 year on electrics 
      • any direct or indirect consequential liability, (whether for loss of profit, goodwill, business revenue or otherwise) loss, injury or damage (other than death or personal injury) arising through any such failure or defect
      • If the Customer has a warrantable problem with the Goods they should contact Hollywood mirrors.

Warranty claim procedure

We will endeavour to identify which component(s) need replacing and if available in stock we will send replacement(s) free of charge on a next working day delivery. We recommend that a fully qualified electrician fits all electrical or electronic parts however, any incurred costs will be at the Customers expense.

The installation of the product and the fitting of any replacement parts by a non-qualified person are totally at the Customer's discretion and Hollywood Mirrors is not liable for person injuries caused as a result.

All our mains installed hard wired should be installed by a qualified electrician.

 

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Hollywood Mirrors UK ensures your details and privacy is 100% safe and undisclosed. Information we collect from ordering is your name, address, email address and telephone number to enable us to solely fulfil your order. We do not pass this information on to 3rd party’s they are just used to fulfil your order with delivery companies who will also not pass on these details.

Onsite browsing and marketing controllers
As is normal for the e-commerce industry, we share your browsing data with some third-party marketing organisations, primarily through Javascript tracking code. Those organisations become the controllers of that data, so if you opt-out of any further tracking on our site you would need to contact those organisations directly to exercise your other data rights. These data transfers are in Amara’s legitimate interest.

Shoelace
Shoelace power some of our display remarketing programmes. They track your browsing behaviour across multiple websites and build a profile of your interests. This allows Amara to show you relevant adverts on other websites.

Facebook
We use Facebook to advertise to you on their platform.

Google Adwords
We run advertising campaigns via the Google platform.

Refersion & Clixgalore
Refersion & Clixgalore power many of our affiliate campaigns.

Pinterest
We advertise on Pinterest.

Shows what customers have recently purchased.

Order fulfilment controllers

We share your personal data with some other organisations as part of the order fulfilment process. This data processing is part of your contract with us when you place an order.

These companies are joint controllers with Want Gifts of your customer data, so you will need to contact them directly to exercise your data rights. Our order fulfilment partners are:

Feefo provides review and market research services. When placing an order, we may send your details to Feefo, who will then email you to request a review of our products. This transfer is done in Amara’s legitimate interest to perform market research about our products and services.

You will need to contact Feefo directly to exercise your data rights, as they are acting as a data controller and we do not control how they process your data.

We will only send you email marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them. You have the right to opt-out at any time, please see the footer of the emails for details.

You may opt out of other marketing communications via post, telephone or SMS, from the [My Account] area.

How long will we keep your data for?
The data you can manage from your my account area will be stored until you remove it, for example your wish lists and saved addresses.

Data about your orders and communications with us will be held indefinitely as we need a legal record of these.

Website behavioural data will be kept for up to 38 months, after which time we aim to store the only store aggregated, non-personal data.

You may also delete your account which removes most of the data we hold about you - see the “Right to erasure” section for more details.

Securing your data
We take your privacy and data security seriously and we take every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place.

You have the right to request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. We have implemented a process within my account area which allows you to delete your account and most of the associated data.

There is some data which we do not delete:

Your name and email, which we use to store the deletion request.
Your order data, which we require for reporting and tax purposes. However, we will stop using your personal data for marketing profiling.
Your communications with us.
If you have placed orders as a guest only, you must create an account for us to be able to verify your identity before we can process your request.

You may download the data we hold about you in my account area. We have not implemented any specific data portability initiatives, as we do not believe there are any standard approaches in the e-commerce sector. We will implement more data portability initiatives if this changes in the future.

The Info we do not collect or that is visible when you place your order

We do not store or collect your credit card information or bank details or any financial information on the site these are encrypted by our 1005 safe and secure checkout system and payment provider Shopify / Stripe. We also have a Versign SSL certificate and you will see the padlock in the address bar when you checkout to show the site is 100% safe.



Signing Up to our Newsletter

If you signup to our newsletter Hollywood Mirrors will only contact you solely with the latest news, promotions and events, you can unsubscribe to this at any time. Your name and email address when signing up will not be passed to any 3rd party’s. The newsletter will give you deals on the best illuminated mirrors



Remarketing

We use Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise Hollywood Mirrors across the Internet, in particular on the Google Display Network.

AdWords remarketing will display ads to you based on what parts of the Hollywood Mirrors website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your web browser.

This cookie does not in any way identify you or give access to your computer or mobile device.

The cookie is used to indicate to other websites that “This person visited a particular page, so show them ads relating to that page.”

Google AdWords Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and only display ads that are relevant to you.

If you do not wish to see ads from Hollywood Mirrors you can opt out in several ways:
1. Opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
2. Opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
